Some time ago, a writer (I can’t remember who or I’d credit them) did a series of posts with the clever titles, (# of words) about (topic). For example, “250 Words About Quantum Theory.” (Actually, I don’t remember any posts about quantum theory, but you get the idea.) The number of words varied with each post and was reflected in the title: “184 Words About Dog Training,” “97 Words About the Oscars,” “253 Words About Pizza,” and so on.
(By now you’re probably wondering where this is going.)
Well, ever since my heart attack and cardiac arrest I’ve found writing to be more of a challenge than it has been in the past. Maybe that’s due to my being without a heartbeat for 40+ minutes, shocked 6 times, and then kept on hypothermia protocol for about 12 hours before I was stable enough for them to do a cath. It could have caused some kind of anoxic brain injury that affected my ability to concentrate on writing.
Or I could just be getting old.
Or both.
Whatever.
But I want to get back to writing regularly again, and I thought that this might be a great way to get back into the habit of writing every day.
So, this is the first of a series of blog posts/FB Stories/musings that will replace my “Reflections” series.
What will it be about?
Don’t know.
Will it be of great significance?
Probably not.
Will it be 250 words or fewer?
Most of the time!
Will it be daily?
Let’s not get legalistic.
Whatever it is, I’ll be writing again. And hopefully enjoying it.

Word issue could also be trauma related. Your experience was definitely traumatic!
